Description
Summary:The analysis of the final works of the Ecole du paysage de Versailles’ students allows us to highlight what remains nevertheless a conceptual "black box" : the landscape project. The geographer’ eye, working on this documentary database as rich as unexploited, is attracted by the student’s use of geography as a material of landscape project. Reduced to the site, to its physical ground, the geography is constituted by landscape potentialities to be revealed. The article’s objective is to propose an analysis of the qualities attributed to it. Beyond this, it aims also at clarifying the landscapers approach in designing landscapes and identifying the values which animate them.
