description | This paper describes a one-step chemically produced multiwalled carbon nanotubes/poly-ortho-aminophenol (MWCNTs/PoAP) nanocomposite film production process using in-situ oxidative polymerization. The CoCl2-doped nanocomposites exhibit good stability and increased magnetic performance. The morphological analysis revealed that PoAP deposits on the surface of the nanoparticle result in the creation of a fibrous crystal-like structure. The vibrational spectra show that there is a substantial interaction between PoAP and MWCNT/MWCNT[-COOH]. The introduction of nanocrystalline MWCNTS increases PoAP’s UV absorption and causes a blue shift in π-polaron absorption. The magnetic study of Co-doped MWCNTs/PoAP nanocomposites has shown a marked reduction in the hysteresis behavior, indicating significant hole doping associated with the oxygen functional groups on the surface of xidized carbon ’nanotubes. The syntheses of nanocomposites are silent features of the work with implications in crystal engineering and nanocomposite design for various applications. |
