| Summary: | Agricultural waste coconut shells are agricultural by-product from the production of coconut and copra. Coconut shell waste has great potential to be used as a producer of liquid smoke. Liquid smoke is the result of a process pyrolysis woody materials with high lignocelluloses content. Pyrolysis process requires technology and knowledge to produce a good quality. IbM activities were done at two farmer group 4 Sajarek and Rahmat Illahi at VII Koto Sungai Sarik Kabupten Pariaman gives an overview of the technology transfer of liquid smoke. Questionnaires were distributed to members of the farmer group shortly before and after the introduction. The results obtained, almost all farmers' groups interested in understanding how the processing and use of liquid smoke. From the results of this activity, the group is optimistic farmer can run activity after another without the assistance of the University of Andalas.
