皖南地区爬行动物资源及保护
皖南是安徽省爬行动物分布的主要地区,现已发现64种,其中龟鳖目3科9种，蜥蜴亚目4种科9种,蛇亚目3种科45种,鳄目1科1种.濒临灭绝的扬子鳄,经多年繁殖和保护,1994年野生个体已达667～740条,繁殖场内达4376条.近些年来,人类对龟鳖和蛇类的捕杀比较严重,各种龟蛇的数量正在迅速下降....
