| Summary: | Based on fieldwork in Bordeaux metropolis and Gironde estuary areas, this article proposes a sociology of land use planning through a policy narrative framework. Territorial interdependencies redefined by the function of nature facing flooding risks allow us to analyze the construction of city/nature interdependencies. The study of performative effects of three metropolitan narratives of sustainable development highlights the cognitive dimension of performative governance to plan present and future territorial interconnections. |
