Summary:In this study, the cervical canal of the uterus in Akkaraman ewe was macroanatomically investigated. Because that the uterine cervix causes important degree of failure in artificial insemination of Akkaraman ewe and in other species as well, (he study was focused on the circular folds of cervical. These studies were carried out as dissection of the cervix uteri, latex casting and their definition by photography. It was concluded that the efforts should be focused on designing of the artificial insemination devices fitting to gross anatomy of the uterine cervical canal in Akkaraman ewe.
