| Summary: | Traditional economic approaches developed to analyze natural resources management remain unhistorical and non-situated and thereby ignore the influence of the territorial specificities. In this article, we present an analytical framework, the institutional resource regime, which tries to overstep the limits of traditional approaches by combining the property and use rights system with the resource-specific protection and/or use policy. The analysis of the institutional water resource regime in the Audomarois water basin allows us a better identification and gives us an improved understanding of change levers as well as of mechanisms leading to an integrated water regime. |
