Description
Summary:Abstract Climate change and the associated global warming are among the most important challenges of our time. In order to achieve the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, greenhouse gas emissions must be significantly reduced. The authors discuss the economic policy measures necessary in Germany and worldwide. Strategies for implementing a common climate policy, especially among the main emitters Europe, China and the US are of particular importance. The Paris goals can still be achieved if there is cooperation at the international level and appropriate long-term strategies are established at the national level. Current political developments have opened a window for this.
