However, the rapid expansion of IoT networks has also introduced significant cybersecurity challenges. This paper presents a comprehensive survey of cybersecurity in the IoT ecosystem, examining the current state of research, identifying critical security vulnerabilities, and exploring advanced strategies for mitigating threats. The survey covers various facets of IoT security, including device authentication, data integrity, privacy, network security, and the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI) in bolstering cybersecurity defenses. By synthesizing existing research and highlighting ongoing challenges, this survey aims to provide a holistic understanding of IoT cybersecurity and to guide future research endeavors.
