Description
Summary:The question of learning developed in the framework of associations activities is according Schugurensky (2013) a subject little studied. In this context, this article aims to contribute to research on volunteering in its educational dimension. From two surveys, a questionnaire and semi-structured interview, we tried to understand what skills acquire volunteers and what potential uses they make of these skills in other contexts of life. The results show that volunteers develop new competencies, nourished by learning "by action". The competencies merge, combine and transform into a "new" experience with different uses. So, voluntary activity brings the elements of personal and professional development for those who practice it.
