Description
Summary:Landscape assessment constitutes the first step of the landscape policies, because it is qualifying ; during the design process of the landscape project, upstream a public policy of territorial planning, or within a process of mediation through the landscape, the landscape assessment always allocates values to the object it considers. This articles aims at – beyond the methodological stakes of landscape assessment à highlighting the underlying values of these methods. However, to understand the « landscape project» prism through which we will analyze the landscape assessment, it is important in a first step to address this question more fundamentally, by explaining the epistemological fundamentals of the landscape assessment : from the classical geography (with principles affected by other prism than the landscape project) and from other ideological context.
