Summary:The paper contains description of the results concerning computer stress calculations in respect of a crystallizing steel (20ХЮА) ingot having 300x400 mm dimensions under round- and flat-torch injector cooling. Taking an industrial continuous casting machine as an example a comparative analysis of changes in stresses along the whole ingot length for various types of injector cooling has been carried out.
