| Summary: | This paper dwells on the transformation of the role and place of digital personnel in information systems of product quality management in the context of the development of the AI economy. The evolution of the concept of quality and quality management from traditional approaches to the modern paradigm of Quality 4.0 is considered. The influence of digitalisation and technologies of AI on the processes of quality management is analysed, particularly their potential to ensure a proactive approach to the detection and elimination of defects. The authors determine the key competencies of digital personnel, which are necessary for effective quality management in the age of AI. Special attention is paid to the transformation of the functions of quality management and the corresponding changes in demands for personnel support. Analysis of the capabilities of AI in optimising the processes of quality management is presented, and new competencies of digital personnel, which require development in this context, are given. The research methodology is based on the stage-by-stage analysis of the interconnection between information, personnel, and quality in the conditions of digital transformation. System and interdisciplinary approaches are used to integrate knowledge of quality management, personnel management, and the AI economy. General scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, observation, comparison, and generalisation are also used. The research results point to the necessity of rethinking the role of human factors in the systems of quality management, which are based on AI technologies. The need for the development of specific skills of digital personnel – such as basic knowledge about programming, understanding the principles of the work of AI, ability to interpret results that are generated by AI, and ability to integrate new technologies into the existing systems of quality management – is determined. This paper has theoretical and practical value because it offers a new view of the interaction of human and artificial intelligence in the sphere of product quality management and outlines directions for the development of digital personnel competencies in the conditions of formation of the AI economy. |
