description | Following the collapse of the Mochica socio-political structure in the 9th century AD, the affluence of new stylistic identities of Huari influence redefined the socio-cultural landscape of the north coast of Peru. This article proposes to assess the nature of the relationships that the archaeological sites of San José de Moro and Huaca Bandera would have maintained during the Transitional Period, through a comparative analysis of domestic ceramics. Ceramographic analysis includes a mineralogical study of the paste using a digital microscope and a characterization of the chemical elements using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) in order to recognize production characteristics common to both sites. |
