    “…Objetivo: Identificar los factores de riesgo de cáncer renal en un área urbana y su relación con factores ambientales.Métodos:Estudio transversal en pacientes con cáncer renal, del expediente clínico se obtuvieron variables como género. edad, ta-baquismo, ingesta etílica, antecedentes de diabetes, hipertensión y dislipidemias, las direcciones de cada paciente se identificaron mediante Google Maps, y se cargaron en el sistema de proyección Universal Transversa de Mercator (utm), con datum wgs84. El aná-lisis de las variables se realizó con el programa estadístico spss v 21 para Windows.Resultados: Se incluyeron 75 pacientes con cáncer renal, de 24 a 77 años, con un promedio de 59±13.3 años, 45 hombres (60 %) y 30 (40 %) mujeres. 42 (58.6 %) pacientes no reportaron antecedente de alcoholismo; 22 (29.3 %) reportaron alcoholismo social; y 11 (14.5 %)reportaron embriagarse una vez a la semana.26 % (25) eran diabéticos; 34.6 % (26) con hipertensión; 32 % refirieron tener fami-liares con cáncer. …”
