Relational Analysis for Tool Vibration and Distribution Characteristics of Processing Surface Topography by JIANG Bin, ZHANG Fang, LI Zhe

    Published 2019-04-01
“…In order to study the influence of tool vibration on the distribution characteristics of processing surface topography along spindle direction in turning largepitch thread, the experiment of turning external thread with pitch 16mm was conducted to obtain behavior sequences of characteristic parameters of tool time domain vibration and processing surface topography along spindle direction The gray relational analysis method was used to study the influence of tool vibration along cutting depth direction, cutting speed direction and axial feed direction on the distribution characteristics of processing surface topography of thread surfaces in turning large pitch thread with the tool left and right edges Comparing two experimental results with different cutting schemes, it can be concluded that the relationship between vibration and distribution characteristics of processing surface topography are directly influenced by radius of cutting edges, relief angle, cutting order and so on Thus, the influence of vibration on processing surface topography can be improved through adjusting the above process parameters…”

Cutting Simulation of Bionic Cutting Tool for Geometric Characteristics of Limpets’ Teeth by MA Jing, YANG Shaocheng, LIU Qiang, ZHANG Mingjian

    Published 2023-02-01
“… As the basic cutting tool of cutting, how to improve the performance of cutting tools is a hot topic in current research. The bionics research shows that the limpets teeth have excellent mechanical properties, which provides a basis for the optimization design of the cutting tool. The internal and external contour curves of teeth were extracted by data analysis software, and the fitting polynomial was obtained.Based on the curvature of the polynomial curve, the contour characteristics of teeth were analyzed. Finally, the bionic cutting tool model was designed according to the polynomial.Orthogonal experiment was designed for rake angle, feed rate and cutting speed. Two dimensional orthogonal cutting simulation was carried out by finite element software, and the influence of these three factors on cutting force was discussed by range analysis method.Taking the minimum cutting force as the design goal, within the range of test parameters, the feed is 0.1mm/r, the rake angle is 5°, and the cutting speed is 150m/min is the optimal combination. At the same time, compared with the simulation results of ordinary cutting tools, it is found that the bionic cutting tool has the advantage of saving labor.…”
