Assessment of Flood Risk Based on ISO Clustering and Maximum Likelihood Method --Taking Wuchuan City as an Example by LIU Yang, SONG Feiyan, LIN Kairong, LIN Bo

    Published 2020-01-01
“…The results indicate that: the flood disasterrisk in Wuchuan City is at the medium risk level as a whole, with a risk value of3.04, and higher in the mid-west region and lower in the southeast region for thespatial distribution. After comparison validation with the survey data of proneflood points in Wuchuan City, it is indicated that 91% of them are located in theextremely high-risk and high-risk areas, which shows that the assessment resultsare relatively accurate and can be great of reference for the prevention andcontrol of local flood disaster.…”

Spatiotemporal chaotic one-way Hash function construction based on coupled tent maps by LIU Jian-dong, FU Xiu-li

    Published 2007-01-01
“…A novel coupled tent maps-based spatiotemporal chaotic cryptographic Hash function was proposed.Compared with the discrete tent map,the coupled discrete tent spatiotemporal chaotic maps have longer computer-realization-period,nearly uniform distribution and desired diffusion and confusion properties.Based on the coupled discrete tent spatiotemporal chaotic maps,a cryptographic Hashing function is constructed to generate 128-bit Hash value from a message with arbitrary length. The approach uses the initial value of coupled discrete tent chaotic dynamical system iteration as the secret key.The key space is very large. There is a high sensitivity and complex and strongly nonlinear coupling relation between the Hash value and the corresponding message and secret key.Theoretic analysis and simulation results are shown that the approach possess not only extremely high security in comparison with earlier chaotic Hash functions, but also the high execution speed. Therefore, the approach can satisfy all the performance requirements of Hash function, such as one-way,key sensitivity and collision resistance.…”

PDO Economy and Quality Agri-Food District in the wine sector: Blockchain and digitalization as tools for the twin transition by Graziella Benedetto, Maria Bonaventura Forleo

    Published 2024-12-01
“…The twin transition has great potential for the development of the wine sector, although its benefits for the valorisation of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) economy and at the quality districts level are not explored in depth either in the theoretical or empirical literature. The study aims to contribute to this knowledge gap from a strictly conceptual perspective, by investigating benefits and obstacles that Blockchain and digital technologies can have to favour the creation and implementation of a quality wine district towards a sustainable path. …”
