DÉTENTION PRÉVENTIVE ET SURPOPULATION CARCÉRALE AU MAROC: UNE INADÉQUATION À LA RECHERCHE D’UNE RÉSOLUTION by Mohamed Jaouhar

    Published 2024-12-01
“…Les statistiques publiées annuellement par l’administration pénitentiaire sont bien alarmantes et montrent clairement l’étendue de cette inadéquation, aussi bien en termes de stock qu’en termes de flux. Le surpeuplement carcéral est la résultante essentielle d’un recours excessif à la détention préventive par les autorités judiciaires, mais aussi d’une lourdeur de la machine judicaire dans le traitement des affaires pénales. …”

Regional Comparison of Nitrogen Export to Japanese Forest Streams by Hideaki Shibata, Koichiro Kuraji, Hiroto Toda, Kaichiro Sasa

    Published 2001-01-01
“…The potential net N mineralization rate was higher in surface soil than in subsurface soil, and the high potential for N mineralization in the surface soil partly contributed to the increase in nitrate concentration in stream water during a storm event. Regional differences in the atmospheric N deposition and seasonality of precipitation and high discharge are principal controls on the concentrations and variations of nitrates in stream water in forested watersheds of Japan.…”

The effect of product market competition and growth opportunity on the relationship between ownership concentration and abnormal returns by Rahim Bonabi Ghadim, Shabnam Rajaee, Davod Mostafazadeh

    Published 2024-08-01
“…The statistical population of the study is the companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange and using systematic sampling method, 130 companies were selected as a research sample for a period of 9 years between 2015 and 2023.Findings: The results of testing the research hypotheses with multiple regression showed that ownership concentration has a negative effect on abnormal returns and product market competition and growth opportunity have a significant negative and positive effect on the relationship between ownership concentration and abnormal return, respectively.Originality/Value: The concentration of ownership leads to the problem of representation between dominant shareholders and minority shareholders (conflict of ownership) and the existence of product market competition as a substitute for strong corporate management and also the existence of growth opportunities that affect the company's future performance due to information uncertainty. …”
