A dereverberation beamforming algorithm for noise source localization in anechoic and semi-reverberant environments by R. Singh, A. Mimani, R. Kumar

    Published 2025-06-01
“…Additionally, the CLEAN-SC deconvolution applied to the DBF maps of the mixer-grinder significantly improved the source resolution. • DBF algorithm is presented based on CCM filtering using an optimized Hanning window to significantly improve the localization accuracy of noise sources within λ/20 uncertainty. • Trial-and-error method is used to determine the optimal Hanning window width, which depends on frequency, noise source and surroundings. • It was necessary to implement DBF even in an anechoic chamber to accurately localize noise sources generated by engineering applications.…”

Heat transfer optimization in magnetohydrodynamic buoyancy-driven convective hybrid nanofluid with carbon nanotubes over a slippery rotating porous surface by Thirupathi Thumma, Surender Ontela, Devarsu Radha Pyari, S.R. Mishra, Subhajit Panda

    Published 2025-07-01
“…The current study establishes that the liquid momentum is controlled for the slip flow, thus with the slip condition, the amount of retardation is much higher in comparison with the no-slip condition, and the temperature of the hybrid nanofluid has been raised by a greater heat source coefficient and radiation factor. Further, the sensitivity and optimization analysis of the heat transmission rate is carried out using RSM with face-centered central composite design model of experiments. …”

How to realize large-scale outdoor thermal comfort studies? A systematic review based on OTC characterization, methods and research trends by Yuan Li, Yuan Li, Yuan Li, Wenyi Fei, Wenyi Fei, Mengsheng Yang, Mengsheng Yang, Yingfeng Wang, Yingfeng Wang, Yanan Du, Yanan Du, Yaomei Wang, Yaomei Wang

    Published 2025-03-01
“…However, previous OTC studies have been dominated by empirical case studies of regional sample points and have lacked systematic large-scale exploration within a certain region.MethodsThis study used the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) method and bibliometric tools to statisticians the sources, keywords, content and highly cited papers of OTC studies.ResultsBased on the quantitative results, this study sorts and organizes OTC research from characterization, methods, and research trends, and summarizes the following results: (1) Universal thermal climate index (UTCI) is relatively suitable for large-scale OTC research; (2) The combination of subjectivity and objectivity with the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the current cutting-edge research method of OTC; (3) Local climate zone (LCZ) classification system has a potential to be used in future large-scale OTC research has application potential.DiscussionBased on the collated results of previous studies, this study proposes a framework for large-scale OTC study to provide necessary theoretical support and practical guidance for future urban planning and construction, which will help optimize the urban environment and improve the thermal comfort and quality of life of residents.…”
