Published 2019-10-01“…The quality of the study was assessed by using the Jadad scale, and the risk assessment for bias was assessed by using the bias risk assessment tool provided by Cochrane. Results:A total of 1 129 patients were included in the 15 RCT trials. Meta-analysis results showed that the effective rate was higher after adding body surface intervention on the basis of rehabilitation training[RR=1.21, 95%CI(1.10, 1.34), P=0.000 1< 0.05]; DQ was more after adding body surface intervention[MD=4.42, 95%CI(1.85, 7.00), P=0.000 8< 0.05]; in the analysis of speech DQ, subgroup analysis was performed in three studies because of the high heterogeneous (I2=92%> 75%), which suggested that the cause of heterogeneity may be related to the age of the patients; IQ value was more after adding body surface intervention[MD=8.10, 95%CI(3.77, 12.43), P=0.000 2< 0.05].Conclusion:External therapy of traditional Chinese medicine can promote the development of children with mental retardation, but its absolute efficacy is uncertain, so further study is need. …”
