Numerical Simulation of the Construction Process of Long Spiral CFG Piles by Taotao Wang, Siyi Du

    Published 2021-01-01
“…The rationality and accuracy of the simulation results are proved by comparing with the field test data and calculation results of the theory of cylindrical cavity expansion. The presented numerical results prove that the vibration load generated during the construction acts on saturated soil in the form of irregular reciprocating shear forces, which leads to a large excess pore water pressure in the soil and an increase in soil void ratio. …”

Dynamic Drag Reduction Effects of Aerospikes and Aerodisks by Rong Han, Wei Liu, Xiaoliang Yang, Xinghua Chang

    Published 2021-01-01
“…In order to investigate the dynamic characteristics of blunt aircraft mounted with aerospikes and aerodisks in large-amplitude force-pitching, the Roe spatial scheme and the lower-upper symmetric Gauss-Seidel (LU-SGS) method with dual time step are employed for discretization of unsteady Navier-Stokes (N-S) equations. A parametric investigation on the flow fields is conducted by altering the pitching period, aerospike length, and aerodisk diameter consequently via a variable-controlling procedure. …”

Numerical Simulation of Density Current Evolution in a Diverging Channel by Mitra Javan, Afshin Eghbalzadeh, Masoud Montazeri Namin

    Published 2012-01-01
“…This study seeks to explore the ability of 2D width-averaged unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) simulation approach for resolving density currents in an inclined diverging channel. 2D width-averaged unsteady RANS equations closed by a buoyancy-modified 𝑘−𝜀 turbulence model are integrated in time with a second-order fractional step approach coupled with a direct implicit method and discretized in space on a staggered mesh using a second-order accurate finite volume approach incorporating a high-resolution semi-Lagrangian technique for the convective terms. …”

    内啮合齿轮泵隔离装置的平衡 by 郭善新, 余广炽, 关翔锋

    Published 2021-01-01
“…In order to achieve a higher volumetric efficiency of an internal gear pump at higher pressures,a new isolation device with a compensating function in the diameter direction was developed. The device used a technical method of expanding high pressure chamber inside the pump.In order to obtain a better balance for the isolation device, according to the pressure distribution law of the transition zone, the calculation formulas of hydraulic pressure, the compensation force and the supporting force of the crescent block in the transition zone of the crescent block were derived, and then the equilibrium constraints of the device were established. The transition zone was enlarged until only two gear teeth. As an example, the fmincon tool was used to obtain the optimum center angle of the compensation cavity, and the force changes curve was obtained by MATLAB simulation. When an internal gear pump with a theoretical displacement of 50.8 ml/r was carried out under the condition of input pressure of 0.3 MPa,output pressure of 21.8 MPa,at 50℃ ±4℃,and the results show that the volumetric efficiency can reachs 94.3%.No abnormal wear was observed.…”
