Effect of Mining Thickness on Overburden Movement and Underground Pressure Characteristics for Extrathick Coal Seam by Sublevel Caving with High Bottom Cutting Height
Published 2018-01-01“…Some conclusions can be drawn as follows: (i) under the “beam-hinged cantilever beam rocks” structure theory, the rock pillar thickness which needs to be controlled increases linearly as a function of mining thickness is achieved, and the reason of increased of support resistance in full-mechanized caving mining in extremely thick seams is explained in the theory; (ii) based on the results of the theoretical analysis and the lab simulation tests, the law of the abutment pressure peak is inverse to the full-seam mining thickness, and the distance between abutment peak and working face is proportional to the full-seam mining thickness, that is to say that the damage range of overlying strata increased; (iii) there are three working states of loading support in extrathick coal seams, such as normal circumstance, lower main roof pressure, and higher main roof pressure, meanwhile these states keep changing; (iv) under the guarantee of stope safety conditions, due to lower support strength, it will benefit the special thick seam top-coal caving under normal circumstance; (v) increasing the supporting strength can balance the impact loading under the lower main roof pressure, guaranteeing valid support for roof strata; (vi) by releasing high pressure, due to lower production, lower recovery rate of coal and other measures guarantee the stability of the stope support in the case of the higher main roof pressure.…”

Stiffness Determination of Backfill-Rock Interface to Numerically Investigate Backfill Stress Distributions in Mine Stopes
Published 2021-01-01“…Moreover, the plotting methods of stress distributions and the coefficient of lateral earth pressure of backfill in simulated stopes with proposed interface stiffness were discussed to further clarify the reasonable methods to investigate the backfill stresses in mine stopes, especially after considering the effects of the convergence from rock walls, which is a very significant and common phenomenon in practical mining engineering.…”

Comparison of Brain-Behavioral Systems, Decision Making Styles and Cognitive Emotion Regulation in Adults with and without ADHD
Published 2024-11-01“…However, a significant difference was observed between the two groups regarding the rational, intuitive, dependent, impulsive, and avoidant components of cognitive decision-making.Additionally, maladaptive emotion regulation strategies were more prevalent in adults with ADHD compared to those without the condition; however, adaptive emotion regulation strategies were found to be equally utilized by both groups.Discussion and conclusion: The findings of this study provide evidence for the psychopathology of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults and highlight the role of cognitive variables in this disorder. These findings indicate that decision-making styles and cognitive emotion regulation are among the variables that influence adult ADHD. …”

Venezuela: Political Confrontation and the World Community
Published 2020-11-01“…The contradictions have led to the formation of the parallel branches of power: two presidents, two parliaments and two supreme courts (one of them in exile) which de facto coexist in the country and each claims exclusive rights and legitimacy. The authors also stress that the situation in Venezuela has obvious regional consequences. The miscalculations of the incumbent president were used in election campaigns in other Latin American countries and became one of the reasons for the defeat of left candidates, the subsequent ‘right drift’ leading to the isolation of the republic. …”
