Rolling Bearing Fault Diagnosis Based on Domain Adaptation and Preferred Feature Selection under Variable Working Conditions
Published 2021-01-01“…In this framework, an improved domain adaptation method, transfer component analysis with preserving local manifold structure (TCAPLMS), is proposed to reduce the differences in the data distributions between different domain datasets and, at the same time, take the label information of feature dataset and the local manifold structure of feature data into consideration. …”

Superpotential of three dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 heterotic supergravity
Published 2020-01-01“…Abstract We dimensionally reduce the ten dimensional heterotic supergravity action on spacetimes of the form M $$ \mathcal{M} $$ (1, 2) x Y, where M $$ \mathcal{M} $$ (1, 2) is three dimensional maximally symmetric Anti de Sitter or Minkowski space, and Y is a compact seven dimensional manifold with G2 structure. In doing so, we derive the real superpotential functional of the corresponding three dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 theory. …”

Relativistic Localizing Processes Bespeak an Inevitable Projective Geometry of Spacetime
Published 2017-01-01“…As a result, the spacetime manifold can be seen as a generalized Cartan space modeled on a four-dimensional real projective space, that is, a spacetime with both a local four-dimensional projective structure and a compatible (pseudo-)Riemannian structure. …”

From homogeneous metric spaces to Lie groups
Published 2024-11-01“…We study homogeneous metric spaces, by which we mean connected, locally compact metric spaces whose isometry group acts transitively. After a review of a number of classical results, we use the Gleason–Iwasawa–Montgomery–Yamabe–Zippin structure theory to show that for all positive $ \epsilon $, each such space is $ (1,\epsilon ) $-quasi-isometric to a connected metric Lie group (metrized with a left-invariant distance that is not necessarily Riemannian).Next, we develop the structure theory of Lie groups to show that every homogeneous metric manifold is homeomorphically roughly isometric to a quotient space of a connected amenable Lie group, and roughly isometric to a simply connected solvable metric Lie group.Third, we investigate solvable metric Lie groups in more detail, and expound on and extend work of Gordon and Wilson [31, 32] and Jablonski [44] on these, showing, for instance, that connected solvable Lie groups may be made isometric if and only if they have the same real-shadow.Finally, we show that homogeneous metric spaces that admit a metric dilation are all metric Lie groups with an automorphic dilation.…”

Exact controllability for systems describing plate vibrations. A perturbation approach
Published 2024-05-01“…The same abstract results can be used to prove the exact controllability of the system obtained by linearizing the von Kármán plate equation around a real analytic stationary state. This leads, via a fixed-point method, to our second main result: the nonlinear system described by the von Kármán plate equations is locally exactly controllable around any stationary state defined by a real analytic function. …”
