Simulation of wheat biomass yield by thermal time, rainfall and nitrogen
“…ABSTRACT Wheat biomass yield focused on the production of quality silage is dependent on rainfall, temperature and nitrogen (N). The objective of the study was to validate the use of rainfall, thermal time and N as potential variables for the composition of the multiple linear regression model and simulation of wheat biomass yield for silage production under N supply conditions during the cycle, in the systems of succession. …”

Observation Characteristics and Synoptic Mechanisms of Typhoon Lekima Extreme Rainfall in 2019
Published 2020-09-01“…The interaction of the typhoon, subtropical high, mid-latitude westerly trough and the abundant water vapor transport of the strong southeast low-level jet (over 25-35 m·s-1 in speed) along the coast of East China provide favorable environmental conditions for the long-term maintenance of Lekima and the occurrence of extreme heavy rainfall as the typhoon northward. The extreme heavy rainfall in eastern Zhejiang is mainly caused by the development of powerful typhoon body, its deep vertical vortex system (over 60×10-5 s-1 in vorticity) and the strong upward movement breaking through the tropopause, as well as the dense deep convection system (TBB of -80--72 K) with high-efficiency rainfall and latent heat feedback in the eye-wall area of typhoon. …”

Rainfall-runoff modeling of urban floods using GIS and HEC-HMS
Published 2025-12-01“…In summary, the model results indicate that the model demonstrates reasonable accuracy in representing the hydrological behaviour of the Wakad Watershed and provides a basis for developing water management plans in proactive environments of urban expansion. • Possessing highly detailed (7 m) DEM, as well as long term (30 years) precipitation data, allowed high-accuracy flood modelling alongside precise watershed characterization for the Wakad Watershed. • The combined application of GIS with the HEC-HMS modelling system, including SCS-CN, SCS-UH, and Muskingum methods, served as a robust framework for simulating urban floods and managing infrastructural development in rapidly evolving regions such as Wakad, PCMC. • Model calibration led to more accurate simulations with the tuned model achieving 44.23 % more Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency, 51.90 % less RMSE, 4.14 % increment in R2 and 41.2 % less Percent Bias while demonstrating effective simulation of rainfall-runoff processes.…”
