Weimar Migrations: Katherine Anne Porter in Berlin
Published 2019-09-01“…Porter came to feel by 1940 that her Berlin stay shaped what she called the entire “plan” for her literary output. This is because she found exemplified most starkly in late Weimar Germany the moral predicament that most of her fiction is about: a “collusion with evil” on the part of supposedly “good people.” …”

Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition Combustion: Challenges and Proposed Solutions
Published 2013-01-01“…Although the thermal efficiency and NOx emission of HCCI engine are greater in comparison with traditional engines, HCCI combustion has several main difficulties such as controlling of ignition timing, limited power output, and weak cold-start capability. In this study a literature review on HCCI engine has been performed and HCCI challenges and proposed solutions have been investigated from the point view of Ignition Timing that is the main problem of this engine. …”

Customer service complaint work order classification based on matrix factorization and attention multi-task learning
Published 2022-02-01“…The automatic classification of complaint work orders is the requirement of the digital and intelligent development of customer service of communication operators. The categories of customer service complaint work orders have multiple levels, each level has multiple labels, and the levels are related, which belongs to a typical hierarchical multi-label text classification (HMTC) problem. Most of the existing solutions are based on classifiers to process all classification labels at the same time, or use multiple classifiers for each level, ignoring the dependence between hierarchies.A matrix factorization and attention-based multi-task learning approach (MF-AMLA) to deal with hierarchical multi-label text classification tasks was proposed.Under the classification data of real complaint work orders in the customer service scenario of communication operators, the maximum Top1 F1 value of MF-AMLA is increased by 21.1% and 5.7% respectively compared with the commonly used machine learning algorithm and deep learning algorithm in this scenario. It has been launched in the customer service system of one mobile operator, the accuracy of model output is more than 97%, and the processing efficiency of customer service agent unit time has been improved by 22.1%.…”

Decoupling Control Strategy of IPT System Based on Optimal Efficiency Load Tracking
Published 2019-01-01“…Due to the limitations of the volume and coupling coefficient of the inductive coupling mechanism and the fact that the fluctuation of air gap in its movement will cause the fluctuation of mutual inductance value, DCDC booster link should be added to the side, rectifying side, to improve the output voltage level and stability. Tracing embodied knowledge in the history of science and medicine: expanding the role of film in historical research
Published 2024-12-01“…In this article we focus on film, as we believe it has more to offer for knowledge production than its current use in studies of history predominantly as an engagement tool in research communication, as a final research ‘output’ or ‘illustration’ for texts and objects. We suggest that film can be an important research method to: a) trace the research process; b) enhance collaboration especially in group projects; c) analytically help researchers to amplify sensorial details, through the possibility to rewind, freeze and focus on embodied action; and d) as a means of sharing research instead of text. …”
