Modeling the Production Process of Lignin Nanoparticles Through Anti-Solvent Precipitation for Properties Prediction
Published 2024-11-01“…Despite progress, LNP industrial application faces challenges: (1) reliance on kraft lignin from declining raw biomass processes, (2) sulfur-rich and condensed lignin use, (3) complex lignin macroparticles to LNP conversion, using harmful and toxic solvents, and, above all, (4) lack of control over the LNP production process (i.e., anti-solvent precipitation parameters), resulting in excessive variability in properties. …”

A Machine Learning Model Integrating Tongue Image Features and Myocardial Injury Markers Predicts Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease
Published 2025-07-01“…After sample balancing using the SMOTE method, non-parametric tests revealed significant differences in imaging indicators, some myocardial injury markers, and tongue image parameters between the 2 groups of patients:LDH,MYO,TC_ROOT_R,TC_ROOT_G (P< 0.05); the XGBoost, LightGBM models had the highest predictive power (The AUC values of the verification set > 0.97); the combination of SHAP values revealed the importance of the features and provided a quantitative metric to assess the contribution of each feature to the prediction results, Finally, subgroup analysis was conducted based on specific events of MACE.Conclusion: This study provides insight into the potential application of myocardial injury markers, tongue colour parameters, in the prediction of MACE, and future studies could extend the optimisation of the prediction model and explore its application in other cardiovascular diseases. Keywords: machine learning, coronary heart disease, major adverse cardiovascular events, markers of myocardial injury, tongue image, prediction models…”

Design and study of ultra-wideband folded loop antennas
Published 2010-01-01“…Design of a novel ultra-wideband folded loop antenna was proposed. It was fed by coplanar waveguide and can be easily integrated with other microwave circuits.By introducing a pentagonal folded loop, the bandwidth of the an-tenna is improved twice than that of conventional folded loop antenna.Parametric study is carried out numerically by us-ing EM simulators.Based on numerical results, the antenna is also studied experimentally. As can be seen,an operation bandwidth of over 4.75:1 is obtained. The presented antenna may be practical for ultra-wideband applications.…”
