“…تحظى المکتبات بمختلف أنواعها باهتمام کبير في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، والمکتبات المدرسية أحد أهم أنواع المکتبات؛ وذلک لکونها الانطباع الأول والمحطة الخارجية الأولى التي يتعامل معها الطالب للحصول على مصادر المعلومات، بل وکيفية استخدام تلک المصادر بداية من مرحلة رياض الأطفال حتى المرحلة الثانوية، ومن خلال مشروع کبير قامت دائرة التعليم والمعرفة في أبو ظبي بتطوير قطاع المکتبات المدرسية من خلال مشروع لتحويل المکتبات المدرسية إلى مراکز مصادر تعلم تتناسب مع متطلبات القرن الحادي والعشرين، وتتمثل محاور هذا المشروع في تطوير المرافق والمعدات من خلال استحداث تصاميم جديدة تناسب المراکز وأيضا مصادر معلومات بنوعيها الورقية والإلکترونية من الکتب والمجلات والاشتراک في قواعد البيانات العالمية، وتوفير أجهزة الحاسوب وخدمات الإنترنت.وتهدف الدراسة إلى رصد وتحليل واقع مراکز مصادر التعلم في إمارة أبو ظبي من خلال التعريف بمراکز مصادر التعلم من حيث المفهوم والأهمية والأهداف، والمعايير المستخدمة في مجال المکتبات على المستوى الدولي والمحلي والإقليمي خاصة المکتبات المدرسية ومراکز مصادر التعلم منها، إلى جانب التعريف بمشروع تحويل المکتبات المدرسية إلى مراکز مصادر تعلم ودورها في العملية التعليمية والخدمات التي تقدمها مع التطرق إلى التجهيزات وإجراءات العمل والسياسات المطبقة بالمراکز، وسيتم ذلک من خلال استخدام معيار الاتحاد العربي للمکتبات والمعلومات (اعلم) لإبراز نقاط الضعف والقوة محاولا بذلک الخروج بنتائج وتوصيات تساعد في تحقيق الجودة في الأداء.…”
