A game theory-assisted machine learning methodology for subscriber churn behaviors detection by Ye OUYANG, Aidong YANG, Fanyu MENG

    Published 2020-06-01
“…At the end of November 2019,China officially implemented the number portability policy (MNP) that has been in trial for 9 years. The policy will strengthen the liquidity and competitiveness of the telecommunication market, making the problem of subscriber churn more prominent.A game theory-assisted machine learning methodology was proposed, verified and commercialized timely, which could help mobile network operator (MNO) actively respond to competition in the MNP market. The proposed methodology provides MNO with a machine learning model to detect subscriber portability and give differentiated treatment.Experimental results show that the proposed methodology can guide MNOs to make a targeted MNP strategy, and precisely identify “abnormal” subscribers who tend to churn-out and potential new subscribers who may churn-in.In addition, the proposed methodology has been successfully commercialized, greatly improving the marketing efficiency of operators, increasing user satisfaction, and reducing the loss of users by about 50% for a tier-1 MNO in China.…”

Development of an Indicator for the Assessment of Damage Level in Rolling Element Bearings Based on Blind Deconvolution Methods by Marco Buzzoni, Elia Soave, Gianluca D’Elia, Emiliano Mucchi, Giorgio Dalpiaz

    Published 2018-01-01
“…The kurtosis is a very efficient indicator being sensitive to impulsive components within the vibration signature that often are symptomatic of localized faults. In order to improve the diagnostic performance of the kurtosis, blind deconvolution algorithms can be exploited in order to detect bearing faults and, most importantly, their position. …”

Qu’allez-vous faire de Roméo ? by Olivier Caïra

    Published 2019-02-01
“…Interactivity, understood as the possibility of relevant action within a diegesis, rests both on a technical device, which gives the reader‑player a grip on some fictional events, and a pragmatic aspect, the promise of offering her a choice-based experience. This power of interactive fiction is often overshadowed by the borgesian metaphor of “forking paths”, a pattern which rarely corresponds to scriptwriting practices, and by the pervasiveness of examples borrowed from computer games, which tend to naturalize interactivity as a purely digital phenomenon. …”

    Published 2022-03-01
“…Drawing on articles in the fortnightly journal Die Frauenbewegung (The Women’s Movement), the official press organ of the “radical” bourgeois women’s movement, and on pamphlets and memoirs published by “radical” feminists, it shows that, starting from a somewhat idealized conception of Parliament and relying heavily on this to defend women’s interests, “radical” feminists gradually domesticated politics, through their symbolic entry into the political arena and through the subjects they managed to place on the agenda of parliamentary debates. …”
