An Influence Analytical Model of Dedicated Bus Lane on Network Traffic by Macroscopic Fundamental Diagram by Yingying Ma, Yuanqi Xie, Yongjie Lin

    Published 2021-01-01
“…To study the influence mechanism of dedicated bus lanes on the urban road network, this paper proposes a novel analytical model of macroscopic fundamental diagram (MFD) and passenger macroscopic fundamental diagram (p-MFD) and the corresponding indicators based on MFD and p-MFD to evaluate the operation of the network. Taking the grid network as an example, this paper collects traffic flow to calibrate the developed MFD and p-MFD and evaluates the network performance under different proportions of dedicated bus lanes. …”

A New Technique to Identify Arbitrarily Shaped Noise Sources by Roberto A. Tenenbaum, Marcelo Bruno S. Magalhães

    Published 2006-01-01
“…The technique is based in the Kirchoff-Helmholtz equation in a discretized approach, leading to a radiation operator that relates the normal velocity on the source's surface mesh with the pressure at grid points located in the field. Then, the singular value decomposition technique is set to the radiation operator and a cutoff criterion is applied to remove non propagating components. …”

Effects of Hydrostatic Pocket Shape on the Flow Pattern and Pressure Distribution by M. J. Braun, M. Dzodzo

    Published 1995-01-01
“…The flow in a hydrostatic pocket is numerically simulated using a dimensionless formulation of the 2-D Navier-Stokes equations written in primitive variables, for a body fitted coordinates system, and applied through a collocated grid. In essence, we continue the work of Braun et al. 1993a, 1993b] and extend it to the study of the effects of the pocket geometric format on the flow pattern and pressure distribution. …”

Hydro-wind-solar Complementary Operation Rules Considering System Reliability and Extreme Failure by JING Han, CHEN Xiang, MENG Hongwen, LIU Benxi

    Published 2023-01-01
“…The uncertainty of renewable energy output and the vulnerability under extreme weather conditions have become more and more prominent in the safety of power grid operation. The study proposes a long-term complementary operation rule generation method for hydro-wind-solar power that considers both the guaranteed rate of power generation and the extreme failure.Considering the joint output guarantee rate and the extreme failure of the hydro-wind-solar system, the method takes the maximum power generation as the goal.It uses the mixed-integer nonlinear program to carry out long-term sequence simulation joint operation of hydropower, wind power, and solar power. On this basis, the grey relation analysis is applied to screen the input factors. With the output of each hydropower station as that of the network, the BP neural network is adopted to generate the hydro-wind-solar complementary operation rules. Finally, the validity of the proposed model is verified through case analysis. The superiority of the proposed model is further demonstrated through the simulation analysis of scenarios related to different wind and solar installed capacities and extreme failure.…”

An empty-nest power user identification method based on weighted random forest algorithm by Zimeng LU, Jiayi CHEN, Jing LI, Yue XIE, Xinli JIANG, Lei HAN, Qian GUO

    Published 2020-08-01
“…In view of the lack of effective technical means for the identification of empty-nesters by the government and the society,an empty-nesters prow user identification method based on weighted random forest algorithm was proposed.Firstly, some accurate labels of empty-nest users were obtained through questionnaires, and electricity characteristic library was drawn from three aspects:electricity consumption level, electricity consumption fluctuation and electricity consumption trend.Due to the data imbalance between empty-nest and non-empty-nest users, the weighted random forest algorithm was used to improve the data sensitivity phenomenon of machine learning. Finally, the algorithm model was put online in the power company’s acquisition system. The 2 000 unknown users of various types were identified, among which the identification accuracy of empty-nest users was 74.2%.The results show that the identification of empty-nesters from the perspective of electricity consumption can help power grid companies to understand the personalized and differentiated needs of empty-nesters,so as to provide users with more sophisticated services, and also assist the government and society to carry out assistance work.…”

Re-evaluation of Underflow Energy Dissipation Effect Based on AHP-fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method by LIU Jialin, QIU Yong, ZHOU Xinyu, PU Jinbing, JIANG Yujia

    Published 2023-01-01
“…The effects of current underflow energy dissipation are basically evaluated by a single indicator (energy dissipation rate) based on engineering safety. To better adapt to the construction needs of ecological water conservancy, this paper comprehensively analyzes all relevant factors of underflow energy dissipation and conducts the qualitative and quantitative analysis of multiple indicators by the application of hierarchical analysis and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. It sets two criterion layers of main characteristic indicators (energy loss, aeration concentration of water body after energy dissipation, fluctuation pressure, and tail water flow pattern) and minor characteristic indexes (anti-impact flow velocity of downstream,Froude number of pre-jump section, and inundation degree). Then,it calculates the corresponding weights and degree of membership respectively to obtain the re-evaluation result of the energy dissipation effect of a grid underflow energy dissipater being 83.3 points (B grade). The results show that the comprehensive evaluation based on multiple factors can better take into account the ecological requirements and other influencing factors of the downstream river on the premise of meeting engineering safety.…”
