L’horizon interdisciplinaire de la sociologie de l’environnement sur le terrain de l’agriculture alternative by René Audet

    Published 2008-10-01
“…In order to better understand the opportunities brought by environmental sociology in interdisciplinary studies, this paper explores the foundation and evolution of the discipline. Taking the case of alternative agriculture as an example, it consists of a description of the state of the structuration of the environmental sociology field through the repartition of its approaches between the two tendencies of the socialization of the environmental problematic, and the naturalization of society. …”

Immobilization of Zinc Phthalocyanines in Silicate Matrices and Investigation of Their Photobactericidal Effect on E.coli by Spas Artarsky, Stanislava Dimitrova, Raymond Bonnett, Milka Krysteva

    Published 2006-01-01
“…These results are the opposite of those obtained for the free phthalocyanines in solution. The structural formulae of the compounds show that TBZnPc has a more pronounced hydrophobic character than the sulfonic derivative. …”

Identifying Urban Wood Construction Trends, Global Tall Timber Building Development, and the Role of Wood Promotion Policies by Felipe Victorero, Waldo Bustamante

    Published 2025-04-01
“…Recent construction trends in Santiago show that the average building height is 12 stories, with timber buildings not exceeding 6 stories, despite the absence of specific restrictions in the building code for tall timber structures. The second part of this study contrasts these trends with the global development of tall timber buildings (six stories or more), which total approximately 300 worldwide as of 2024. …”

Degradation and Migration Characteristics and Water‐Inrush Mechanism of Overburden Roof Under High‐Intensity Mining by Min Cao, Shangxian Yin, Xu Wang, Shuqian Li, Qixing Li, Yulong Di

    Published 2025-04-01
“…Overburden failure in high‐intensity mining exhibits a “Π” shape, with the failure height primarily influenced by the high‐intensity mining mode, overburden structural combination, and the load of the “beam‐arch structure,” as well as the overburden dilatation coefficient. (3) Numerical simulation results indicate that under different mining height conditions, larger mining heights result in more pronounced settlement of the main key layer, with step subsidence and sliding phenomena observed on both sides of the key layer. (4) Based on the aforementioned research methods, this paper explores the formation mechanisms of separation layers in both single‐seam and multi‐seam mining, focusing on the analysis of repeated disturbances in multi‐seam mining, dynamic water inrush, and structural water inrush modes. …”

Research Status and the Prospect of Fractal Characteristics of Soil Microstructures by Jiandong Li, Shengjie Jia, Xu Wang, Yanjie Zhang, Deren Liu

    Published 2025-04-01
“…Based on existing research results, this paper proposes that future research on soil microstructure fractal characteristics should focus on the following aspects: (1) advancing fractal characteristic research towards higher precision and multi-dimensionality to reveal the internal relations between soil fractal characteristics and macroscopic physical properties; (2) strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration to promote theoretical innovation in fractal analysis and build a more comprehensive system for studying the evolution of soil fractal characteristics; and (3) a close integration with engineering tests to promote the application and transformation of research results, providing valuable references for optimizing construction schemes and improving the service performance of engineering structures.…”

Time-dependent physical unclonable functions by long-lived triplet excitons in carbon dots by Yan-Wei Hu, Qing Cao, Shi-Yu Song, Yuan Sun, Ya-Chuan Liang, Wen-Bo Zhao, Chao-Fan Lv, Chong-Xin Shan, Kai-Kai Liu

    Published 2025-08-01
“…The constructed TD-PUFs evolve into multiple unclonable PUFs over time, effectively breaking the spatial limitation of transitional PUFs and increasing the complexity, making them much more difficult to be attacked. This temporal evolution introduces an additional layer of security, as the dynamic nature of TD-PUFs makes it increasingly challenging for adversaries to predict or replicate their states. …”
