Characterization of Portland Cement Incorporated with FNS by Won Jung Cho, Min Jae Kim, David Su Vin Lee

    Published 2020-01-01
“…To properly use FNS as a cement replacement, this paper summarizes the following. (1) Changes expected on the oxide composition of FNS powder are due to the forming ores, fluxing stone, and cooling method. (2) The decreasing of the hydration heat evolution rate was detected by hydration heat evolution test and this is due to the low content of CaO and Al2O3 component in FNS. (3) It was found that the incorporation of FNS forms a dense pore structure more than cement mix and this is due to the secondary hydration reactions. (4) Hydration characteristics of FNS were assessed by pozzolanic reactions unexpectedly detected and incorporation of FNS creates C-S-H gel and hydrotalcite. (5) The development of strength was tested by compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and flexural strength. …”

Les groupes binominaux de type N2’s N1, N1 of N2 et N2N1 by Evelyne Chabert

    Published 2023-05-01
“…It rejects the existence of a semantic invariant, and proposes that it is the function of N2 – either determinative or modifying – that triggers the speaker’s preference for one structure over the other two. It also ventures the hypothesis that compounds are gaining ground over genitive NPs, a process in line with the diachronic evolution that has gradually turned English into an analytic language.…”

Associative conditioning in gene regulatory network models increases integrative causal emergence by Federico Pigozzi, Adam Goldstein, Michael Levin

    Published 2025-07-01
“…We analyzed gene regulatory networks, which learn to associate distinct stimuli, using causal emergence, which captures the degree to which an integrated system is more than the sum of its parts. Analyzing 29 biological (experimentally derived) networks before, during, after training, we discovered that biological networks increase their causal emergence due to training. …”

    Published 2023-12-01
“…Extrapolating its dynamics to 4.0 billion years ago - in the early eons of our planet, taking into account objective scientific data on the transformation of substances in the system of geospheres, it can be assumed that the GBP of the Earth was able to transform inanimate matter into living matter. This became a more significant and revolutionary factor, which was directed to the formation of an actor (acting subject) for the beginning of biological evolution and created the conditions for the emergence of man on Earth. …”
