The Paradigm of a Digital Image of a Geotechnical Object as the Basis of an Automated Workstation in the Task of Non-destructive Testing (Using the Example of a Main Pipeline)
Published 2025-04-01“…The goal of developing an automated workstation (AWS) for a specific object is the ultimate parameterization of the interpretation procedure and the unification of the final graphical constructions within the framework of a single digital image of main pipelines. Taking into account the deterministic type of geotechnical object and the objectives of the survey, research methods include, in addition to non-destructive magnetometric testing as a method of obtaining primary data: methods of qualitative and quantitative interpretation of multi-channel magnetometry materials; methods of systematics and graphical display of primary data and the results of their interpretation. …”

Experience in Using Low-Dose Computed Tomography in Children and Adolescents with Pulmonary Tuberculosis
Published 2024-10-01“…Objective: to assess the possibilities of using low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) in children and adolescents with pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).Material and methods. The design of the study, which included patients aged 2–17 years with active pulmonary TB and post-TB changes treated in Central Tuberculosis Research Institute in 2021–2023, consisted of two parts as follows: part 1 (a prospective selective study) – independent assessment of LDCT vs standard-dose CT (SDCT) diagnostic accuracy by two radiologists in 44 patients with TB process stabilization; part 2 – cohort one-time assessment of LDCT image quality in 144 patients at different phases of TB treatment. …”

A case study on the impact of fiber distribution on X-connections of complex-shaped UHPFRC footbridges cast with recyclable formwork
Published 2025-07-01“…This study examines the influence of fiber distribution on the mechanical behavior of the X-connection, a critical structural detail in a novel latticework concept for UHPFRC footbridges, while also introducing an innovative approach using recycled wax formwork for shaping complex geometries.Following the architectural design process for the latticework UHPFRC footbridge, the methodology involves: (i) fabrication of fully recyclable wax formwork using CNC milling for two X-connection configurations with distinct crossing angles (i.e., the angle formed at the intersection of the X shape); (ii) gravity casting of UHPFRC, incorporating 1 % steel microfibers; (iii) application of the magnetic inductance method (MIM) for non-destructive testing to evaluate fiber distribution, supplemented by fiber counting and image analysis of cracked sections post-testing; (iv) mechanical testing of the X-connection under bending to assess structural performance; and (v) a nonlinear Finite Element Analysis (NLFEA) to comprehensively examine the impact of fiber distribution. …”
