IMPACT OF AN UNDERSLUNG LOAD ON A HELICOPTER CONTROLLABILITY by G. N. Babenko, V. V. Efimov, V. A. Ivchin

    Published 2017-01-01
“…The data obtained during computational experiments corresponds to the results of analytical computations, and is in line with the literature based on the experience of helicopter flight operations. The cause of the variation in the helicopter controllability parameters during transportation of an underslung load has been found, that is - the underslung load considerably increases the main rotor thrust, due to sling load, as compared to a helicopter without cargo. …”

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION TECHNIQUES FOR THE NUCLEAR GRADE MAIN FEED-WATER CONTROL VALVE by LIU QingMin, GAO ZhaoJie, LIN Feng, ZHANG QiangSheng, WU Xin

    Published 2015-01-01
“…A performance evaluation technology was studied for the seismic performance evaluation of nuclear safety Class II main feed-water control valve based on the ASME Code and finite element analysis platform( Femap + NX Nastran).First,we proposed an analysis model for the vertical control valve, and the risk assessment and improvement methods for the structural characteristics of vertical control valve were studied. Then we conducted a numerical model for a control valve and compared the simulation data with those obtained from experimental test. These two showed good agreement. Finally, the seismic performance evaluation of a main feed-water control valve was performed under the combination of the seismic load and design load. The simulated relative error of inner stresses at typical site is less than 5% compared with that obtained by using empirical formula. The simulated data shows that the designed valve fulfills the design requirement for its first order frequency is bigger than 33 HZ,and the maximum stresses are within the allowable range under various load cases.…”

STUDY ON THE INFLUENCE OF HYDRAULIC BULGING RESTRAINT INTENSITY ON MICROSAMPLE OF MAIN PIPELINE MATERIAL by WANG ChunHui, AN YingHui

    Published 2024-10-01
“…Three kinds of micro-sample thicknesses(0.4 mm,0.5 mm and 0.6 mm)and three kinds of chamfer radii(0.5 mm,0.8 mm and 1.0 mm)of the original main pipe material were taken as the research objects to analyze the influence of restraint intensity in hydraulic bulging test, and to build a correlation model of yield strength, tensile strength and hydraulic bulging elongation. The fitting error of yield strength and tensile strength and the dispersion of hydraulic bulging elongation were studied. The results show that with the gradual increase of microspecimen thickness, the peak load increases obviously, while the peak displacement generally decreases, but the overall curve trend changes little. With the gradual decrease of the microsample chamfer radius, the peak displacement decreases obviously. The test stability is best under the test conditions of microsample thickness 0.5 mm and chamfer radius 1.0 mm.…”
