Published 2014-01-01“…Based on the theory of gear geometry,both tooth face and tooth root equations of the orthogonal face gear are deduced according to tooth profile equation of the cutter conjugated to face gear,the tooth surface and tooth root point-cloud of the orthogonal face gear are obtained by compiling Matlab procedures,the solid assemble model of face gear is established by making use of Imageware and UG.The relation between load cycles,mean value and amplitude of the loads are obtained after carrying out rain-flow counting for load histories of real load spectrum in 15 working conditions of cycles.The fatigue life analysis of the face gear is performed by using Brown-Miller algorithm in FE-SAFE,then,the influences law of tooth surface roughness and loads to fatigue life of face gear are studied.The results indicates that the lowest life of face gear occurs at addendum of the meshing position,the life of face gear extends with the decreases of tooth surface roughness and loads,the fatigue life shows sensitization to loads.…”
