New Vertical-Seam Type Double-Pond Fishway Design and Hydraulic Characteristics Analysis by XIE Meiling, FU Chenghua, WU Yijie

“…Fishway is an important channel to ensure the survival and reproduction of fish and enable migratory aquatic organisms to pass through obstacles such as dams and sluices.A new vertical-seam type double-pond fishway is designed,and the RNG κ-ε model is used to numerically simulate the fishway and calculate its hydraulic characteristics for analysis.The results show that the fishway has three mainstream areas and multiple stable recirculation areas with low flow velocity,and the indoor water flow of the fishway pond has rich flow velocity information,which can provide upstream information for different fish to help them migrate.In addition,the turbulent kinetic energy of the recirculation areas in the rest pond is small and stable along the course,and the maximum turbulent kinetic energy of the stilling basin is.As a new type of fishway,the vertical-seam type double-pond fishway can easily meet the migratory conditions of fish in terms of its hydraulic characteristics,and the relevant results can provide a reference for the engineering design of the fishway.…”

“…The control group was given interference current therapy, conventional waist core strength training (bridge movement, lying leg raises, and elbow plank) and sling exercise training (SET).The experimental group was trained in interference current therapy and DAVID spine system training (F110 lumbar/thoracic extension test trainer, F120 lumbar/thoracic spin test trainer, F130 lumbar/thoracic anterior flexion tester).A semi-quantitative Oswestry disability index (ODI) and quantitative DAVID system assessment were applied to analyze the result before and after treatment.Results:With six weeks' treatment, pain relief, the ability of personal care, lifting, walking, sitting, standing and traveling, quality of sleep and social life, as well as evaluation of waist range of motion (ROM) of both groups improved obviously compared with that before, and the parameters of the experimental group was much better than that of the control group (<italic>P</italic>&lt;0.05).Conclusion:DAVID spinal system core muscles training possess a significant improve effect on patients with chronic lower back pain.…”
