Reconstruction of LDPC code check matrix based on random extraction at high bit error rate by Zhongyong WANG, Zhenghao LI, Kexian GONG, Peng SUN, Qingtao LI

    Published 2023-03-01
“…In order to improve the performance of the sparse check matrix reconstruction algorithm of LDPC codes at high BER, an open set recognition algorithm of the check matrix with strong fault tolerance under the condition of sufficient and insufficient number of received code words was proposed.Firstly, a new code word space was constructed by randomly extracting part bits of the code words for many times.Gaussian elimination method was used to solve the dual vector and restore the check vector in a lower dimension.Secondly, using the check vector, the proportion of error-free code groups in the received data was continuously increased by using the methods of “eliminating error code words” or“flipping the lowest unreliable bits” for iterative processing.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is superior to comparison algorithm under different bit error rates, different code lengths, different code rates and different number of code words. For (648,324) LDPC codes in IEEE 802.11n protocol, when the number of received code words is sufficient, the reconstruction rate of check matrix can reach more than 95% under the condition of bit error rate of 0.003.When the number of received code words is insufficient (the number of code words is 450), the reconstruction rate of check matrix can reach more than 90% under the condition of bit error rate of 0.0015.…”

Clinical Application of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for Stroke Rehabilitation by Yi WU

    Published 2020-12-01
“…As a non-invasive brain stimulation technique, transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS)can change the membrane potential of neurocytes and generate induced current through time-varying pulse magnetic field acting on central nervous system, which can also affect metabolism and neuroelectric activity in the brain and lead to a series of physiological and biochemical reactions. TMS has shown its potential to modulate brain plasticity in humans, and has become a research focus of precision rehabilitation after stroke. In this paper, we would summarize the research status of TMS applications in rehabilitation after stroke, mainly elaborate the principles and methods of single pulse and paired pulse TMS, repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS), and theta burst stimulation(TBS), as well as their applications in motor dysfunction, aphasia, cognitive dysfunction and swallowing dysfunction after stroke. However, the mechanisms and optimal stimulation parameters of TMS are still unclear.Developing individualized TMS intervention scheme with the combination of assessments and biomarkers, and combining TMS intervention with other functional training will be the research direction of precise neural modulation in the future.…”

The Total Defense Concept as the Embodiment of Sweden’s Strategic Culture by N. E. Belukhin, V. V. Vorotnikov, S. Y. Dianina

    Published 2022-12-01
“…The announced restoration of the effective total defense system potentially comparable to that of the period of bipolar confrontation is associated with significant difficulties due to the gradual reduction in defense spending after the end of the Cold War and the decentralization of the national crisis preparedness structures which was initiated in the early 2000s. The total defense itself also reveals tensions between the demands for consolidation and centralized decision-making and the liberal, open nature of the Swedish society and national economy, as well as the principles of responsibility, subsidiarity and similarity that underline the present Swedish emergency response system. …”

Dual-branch autoencoder network for attacking deep hashing image retrieval models by Sizheng FU, Chunjie CAO, Zhiyuan LIU, Fangjian TAO, Jingzhang SUN

    Published 2023-11-01
“…Due to its powerful representation learning capabilities and efficient computing capabilities, deep learning-based hashing (deep hashing) methods are widely used in large-scale image retrieval. However, there are less studies on the security of deep hashing models.A dual-branch autoencoder network (DBAE) to study targeted attacks on such retrieval was proposed. The main goal of DBAE was to generate imperceptible adversarial samples as query images in order to make the images retrieved by the deep hashing model semantically irrelevant to the original image and relevant to the target image.Numerous experiments demonstrate that DBAE can successfully generate adversarial samples with small perturbations to mislead deep hashing models, and italso verifies the transferability of these perturbations under various settings.…”
