Block-based fair payment scheme under delegation computation by Ta LI, Youliang TIAN, Kang XIANG, Hongfeng GAO

    Published 2020-03-01
“…In the traditional delegation computation, due to the self-interested behavior of both participants, there were some problems such as the denial of the principal and the dishonest calculation by the computing party. In the payment phase,a third party was required to ensure the fairness of the payment, which led to extra costs and risks of disclosure of participants' privacy.Game theory was used to analyze the Nash equilibrium solution between the two parties in the payment process, and a fair payment protocol based on time commitment of bitcoin was proposed.Firstly, the bitcoin time commitment technology was used to ensure the fairness of payment.Secondly, the decentralized feature of block chain was used to replace the third-party service to protect the privacy of all parties and realize the source of responsibility. Finally, the scheme was analyzed from the perspective of security and correctness, which proved that the participants choose behavioral strategies honestly in the payment process. The scheme proposed in this paper not only solved the problem of fair payment in traditional delegation computation, but also protected the privacy of participants.…”

Efficient privacy-preserving image retrieval scheme over outsourced data with multi-user by Xiangyu WANG, Jianfeng MA, Yinbin MIAO

    Published 2019-02-01
“…The traditional privacy-preserving image retrieval schemes not only bring large computational and communication overhead, but also cannot protect the image and query privacy in multi-user scenarios. To solve above problems,an efficient privacy-preserving content-based image retrieval scheme was proposed in multi-user scenarios. The scheme used Euclidean distance comparison technique to rank the pictures according to similarity of picture feature vectors and return top-k returned.Meanwhile, the efficient key conversion protocol designed in proposed image retrieval scheme allowed each search user to generate queries based on his own private key so that he can retrieval encrypted images generated by different data owners.Strict security analysis shows that the user privacy and cloud data security can be well protected during the image retrieval process, and the performance analysis using real-world dataset shows that the proposed image retrieval scheme is efficient and feasible in practical applications.…”

Flood Forecasting for Small Reservoirs Based on Neural Networks by PENG Wei, XIONG Jiayi, JIANG Xianqun, GAO Yueming

    Published 2023-01-01
“…In flood forecasting, empirical prediction methods report low accuracy, and traditional hydrological models face the problems of large workloads and difficult promotion when they are applied to small reservoirs.Hence,an artificial neural network (ANN) method is introduced, which is equipped with powerful feature-learning capability. It is combined with the genetic algorithm (GA) to find the optimal parameters for flood forecasting of small reservoirs as GA can realize automatic optimization of the time step and hidden-layer neuron nodes in ANN.In this way, parameter search can be targeted, and personalized flood forecasting models can be constructed for each small reservoir. In addition, the flood forecasting models based on the back propagation (BP),long short-term memory (LSTM),and gated recurrent unit (GRU) neural networks are built, and comparisons between simulations and measured data are conducted for the flood process. The results show that the LSTM model has high prediction accuracy and good stability and can learn and simulate the water-level change pattern of the actual flood process, demonstrating better prediction performance than BP and GRU models.…”

Towards edge-collaborative, lightweight and privacy-preserving classification framework by Jinbo XIONG, Yongjie ZHOU, Renwan BI, Liang WAN, Youliang TIAN

    Published 2022-01-01
“…Aiming at the problems of data leakage of perceptual image and computational inefficiency of privacy-preserving classification framework in edge-side computing environment, a lightweight and privacy-preserving classification framework (PPCF) was proposed to supports encryption feature extraction and classification, and achieve the goal of data transmission and computing security under the collaborative classification process of edge nodes.Firstly, a series of secure computing protocols were designed based on additive secret sharing.Furthermore, two non-collusive edge servers were used to perform secure convolution, secure batch normalization, secure activation, secure pooling and other deep neural network computing layers to realize PPCF.Theoretical and security analysis indicate that PPCF has excellent accuracy and proved to be security.Actual performance evaluation show that PPCF can achieve the same classification accuracy as plaintext environment. At the same time, compared with homomorphic encryption and multi-round iterative calculation schemes, PPCF has obvious advantages in terms of computational cost and communication overhead.…”
