Noun class system of Kusaal by Hasiyatu Abubakari

    Published 2021-04-01
“…Common to all studies on nominal classification in Kusaal is the observation that nouns that exhibit common morphological properties also share identical semantic features. Though this is true to some extent, the generalization breeds a lot of leakages because classifications based on semantic field alone is unable to explain the inclusion of nouns that share identical morphological and phonological features but different semantic features. …”

Multi-channel spatial-temporal traffic flow prediction based on hybrid static-dynamic graph convolution by Xiongtao ZHANG, Jingyu ZHENG, Qing SHEN, Danfeng SUN, Yunliang JIANG

    Published 2023-08-01
“…Aiming at the problem that the traffic flow prediction model did not consider the correlation of road context and the dynamics of spatial dependency, a multi-channel spatial-temporal traffic flow prediction based on hybrid static-dynamic graph convolution (MHGCN) was proposed.A sandwich structure (i.e.multi-channel spatial module in the middle and temporal module on both sides) was used in the model to extract spatial-temporal features, and the multi-channel spatial module was divided into static graph convolution module and dynamic graph convolution module. The static graph convolution module simultaneously extracted specific and common features from topological spatial structures, semantic spatial structures, and their combinations. The dynamic graph convolution module assigned different weights to different features and extracts dynamic spatial features from unknown graph structures. In the temporal module, the multi-head attention mechanism was used to extract the global temporal features, and the temporal gating mechanism extracted the local temporal features. The model extracted spatial information from different spatial structures and temporal information from different time intervals to establish a global and comprehensive spatial-temporal relationship. The experimental results show that the MHGCN performs better than the existing traffic flow prediction models on four real world traffic flow datasets.…”

Optimal azimuth positioning algorithm for base station antenna based on Gaussian distribution by Songbai LIANG, Feng CHEN, Haiping SONG, Wensheng LI

    Published 2018-07-01
“…In order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the discovery of the antenna-feeder problem,an optimal direction angle solution based on Gaussian distribution was proposed to diagnose the antenna-feeder coverage problems of operators.First of all,the location direction information between each MR sampling point reported by the UE and the base station was calculated, and then the proportion of MR sampling points in each interval was calculated,Based on the Gaussian distribution feature, the angle range with the largest proportion of MR sampling points was the appropriate azimuth, which was based on the user hotspot distribution of the sector. Finally, the date of optimal azimuth was compared with the base station azimuth in the background antenna database to detect antenna feeder problems, such as cross feeder, improper antenna coverage direction and incorrect background antenna database, and so on.The field verification shows that, the cost, accuracy and efficiency of the antenna-feeder problems are obviously improved compared with the existing methods.…”
