TAD conservation in vertebrate genomes is driven by stabilising selection by Fabiana Patalano, Simen Rød Sandve, Rein Aasland, Jonas Paulsen

    Published 2025-08-01
“…We examined TAD numbers, borders, and gene positioning within TADs. We found that TAD features are all highly conserved across species, but decrease with evolutionary distance. …”

Flexibly Reconfigurable Kerr Micro-Comb Based on Cascaded Si3N4 Micro-Ring Filters by Jieyu Yang, Guang Chen, Lidan Lu, Jianzhen Ou, Chao Mei, Yingjie Xu, Wenbo Bo, Peng Wang, Xinyi Li, Lianqing Zhu

    Published 2025-06-01
“…In this paper, an approach to flexibly modulating micro-combs is proposed, and a simulation platform based on <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><msub><mi>Si</mi><mn>3</mn></msub><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">N</mi><mn>4</mn></msub></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula> micro-combs with highly integrated, tunable, and reconfigurable features is built. By means of the Lugiato–Lefever equation model, the dynamic evolution process of micro-combs is analyzed, and a micro-ring resonator is designed with a free spectral range of 7.24 nm, an effective mode area of <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mn>1.0829</mn><mspace width="4.pt"></mspace><msup><mrow><mo>µ</mo><mi mathvariant="normal">m</mi></mrow><mn>2</mn></msup></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula>, and coherent comb lines spanning over 125 THz. …”

Evolutionary characteristics and influencing factors of disaster resilience in rural areas of ecologically fragile zones —Empirical evidence from the upper Minjiang River, China by Mingshun Xiang, Zhenni Wu, Xiaofeng Yang, Jin Yang, Jianhua Li, Linsen Duan, Yan Liu

    Published 2025-06-01
“…Therefore, this paper developed an index system for evaluating the resilience to rural disasters based on the PSR model, applied the system to the upper reaches of the Minjiang River, and revealed the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of the rural disaster resilience using the Standard deviational ellipse model, Spatial heterogeneity analysis, and identifying the key influencing factors through the Obstacle degree model. …”

Spatiotemporal pattern analysis of land use in Jiangsu Province based on long-term time series remote sensing images by Zhendong Ji, Lingzhi Yin, Jinhong Wang

    Published 2025-06-01
“…Spatiotemporal clustering was conducted at the optimal scale, determined using landscape pattern indices, to analyze the land use evolution from 2000 to 2020. The study results indicate that: (1) PCA effectively reduced feature redundancy, enabling a more robust classification process, while Bayesian optimization improved the model’s predictive performance. (2) Cropland area continuously declined, built-up land expanded significantly, waterbody areas decreased slightly, and forest coverage remained stable. …”
