A Detailed Analysis of the Milky Way Warp Based on Classical Cepheids by Xiaoyue Zhou, Xiaodian Chen, Licai Deng, Shu Wang, Jiyu Wang, Jianxing Zhang

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Using Gaia Data Release 3 CCs, we establish an optimal time-dependent warp model, where the warp height increases with radius following a power law, the line of nodes (LONs) exhibit linear twisting with radius, following a leading spiral pattern, and the LONs undergo prograde evolution over time. Structurally, we identify significant warp features in the 5–9 kpc region of the Galactic disk, where the warp model performs better than the flat model. …”

Dual-coding Contrastive Learning Based on the ConvNeXt and ViT Models for Morphological Classification of Galaxies in COSMOS-Web by Shiwei Zhu, Guanwen Fang, Chichun Zhou, Jie Song, Zesen Lin, Yao Dai, Xu Kong

    Published 2025-01-01
“…In this study, we propose a self-supervised method called contrastive learning to upgrade the unsupervised machine learning (UML) part of the USmorph framework, aiming to improve the efficiency of feature extraction in this step. The upgraded UML method primarily consists of the following three aspects. (1) We employ a convolutional autoencoder to denoise galaxy images and adaptive polar coordinate transformation to enhance the model’s rotational invariance. (2) A pretrained dual-encoder convolutional neural network based on ConvNeXt and a vision transformer is used to encode the image data, while contrastive learning is then applied to reduce the dimension of the features. (3) We adopt a bagging-based clustering model to cluster galaxies with similar features into distinct groups. …”

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of clinical carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter species harboring the metallo-beta-lactamases IMP-8 or NDM-1 in China by Qingye Xu, Xinli Mu, Jintao He, Haiyang Liu, Xiaochen Liu, Yanfei Wang, Xiaoting Hua, Yunsong Yu

    Published 2025-02-01
“…In conclusion, we characterized the phenotypic and genotypic features of one IMP-8-producing and four NDM-1-producing plasmids recovered from Acinetobacter spp. strains isolated in 2010, contributing to the understanding of the dissemination and evolution of these enzymes.IMPORTANCEGiven the low prevalence of IMP among A. baumannii and the limited sequencing technology in earlier years, research on blaIMP in A. baumannii is scarce, and genetic information on blaNDM-1-producing Acinetobacter spp. strains isolated in earlier years is limited. …”
