Machine learning-guided field site selection for river classification
Published 2025-08-01“…Results revealed clear differences in variable distributions between the 148 high‐certainty sites and the 51 high‐uncertainty sites, a pattern that was validated by our field surveys. Furthermore, the 41 newly identified high‐uncertainty sites were found under-represented in the initial surveyed sites and thus their selection for the next round of field surveys will help fill the important feature gaps left by the initial survey. …”

Protocol for ‘Re: CBT Dialysis’: a realist evaluation—why, for whom and in what circumstances does cognitive behaviour therapy work for people with depressive symptoms receiving di...
Published 2025-06-01“…Realist methodology is a theory-driven approach that seeks to explain how generative mechanisms are shaped by contextual features, giving rise to outcome patterns. We will begin by developing an initial programme theory (IPT) from the literature and interviews with CBT therapists to understand how CBT is intended to work and for whom. …”

Identification of Cultural Landscapes and Spatial Distribution Characteristics in Traditional Villages of Three Gorges Reservoir Area
Published 2025-07-01“…Through field surveys, landscape feature assessments, GIS spatial analysis, and multi-source data analysis, we systematically analyse their cultural landscape type systems and spatial differentiation characteristics, and then reveal their cultural landscape types and spatial differentiation patterns. (1) The results of the study show that the spatial distribution of traditional villages exhibits significant altitude gradient differentiation—the low-altitude area is dominated by traffic and trade villages, the middle-altitude area is dominated by patriarchal manor villages and mountain farming villages, and the high-altitude area is dominated by ethno-cultural and ecologically dependent villages. (2) Slope and direction analyses further reveal that the gently sloping areas are conducive to the development of commercial and agricultural settlements, while the steeply sloping areas strengthen the function of ethnic and cultural defence. …”

Latent Class Analysis of Gameplay Metrics from Youth Playing Robot ChampionsTM: Relations of Class Membership to Persistence and Intensity
Published 2025-07-01“…Despite a rapid burgeoning in the use of game metrics, few studies have used this type of objective instrumentation to examine whether users display unique patterns of gameplay. To address this gap, this study examines a temporal slice of game metrics obtained from a robotics platform using person-centered strategies to empirically examine unique gameplay characteristics. …”
