Investigation on the motion and fragmentation mechanism of rockfall based on PIV-seismic signal monitoring
Published 2025-01-01“…Consequently, in subsequent optimization design of engineering protection structures, greater attention should be paid to the effects of particle size distribution resulting from rockfall fragmentation and the patterns governing high-frequency energy release. This necessitates strengthening research and development on devices specifically aimed at absorbing and dissipating high-frequency energy to ensure enhanced safety and reliability of the protective system in practical applications.ConclusionsParticle Image Velocimetry (PIV) successfully reconstructs the complex movement trajectories and velocity fields of rock blocks during collapse, highlighting the distinct non-linear dynamic behaviors (e.g., sliding, rolling, bouncing) of fragments, particularly smaller ones. …”

Fault diagnosis and inference of hoist main bearing based on transfer learning and ontology
Published 2024-12-01“…Firstly, the collected bearing vibration signals are processed, and it uses continuous wavelet transform to decompose the original vibration signals and extract two-dimensional time-frequency images; secondly, to adaptively extract deep features from both the source and target domains, the pre-trained and fine-tuning approaches are employed for convolutional neural networks transfer learning, and it constructs a transfer convolutional neural network model to achieve adaptive extraction of deep features from both domains; then, a new supervised domain adaptation method is proposed, integrating dynamic joint distribution adaptation with enhanced separability, to further reduce the distribution differences between deep feature sets of the source and target domains while effectively enhancing the separability of feature data; finally, a patterns recognition classifier is trained based on the source domain features after domain adaptation, which achieves fault patterns recognition in the target domain. ② Hoist main bearing fault knowledge reasoning based on ontology. …”

Potential evaluation of saline aquifers for the geological storage of carbon dioxide: A case study of saline aquifers in the Qian-5 member in northeastern Ordos Basin
Published 2024-01-01“…This study calculated the technical control capacities of CO2 of the saline aquifers in the fifth member of the Shiqianfeng Formation (the Qian-5 member) based on the statistical analysis of the logging and the drilling and core data from more than 200 wells in the northeastern Ordos Basin, as well as the sedimentary facies, formation lithology, and saline aquifer development patterns of the Qian-5 member. The results show that (1) the reservoirs of saline aquifers in the Qian-5 member, which comprise distributary channel sand bodies of deltaic plains, feature low porosities and permeabilities; (2) The study area hosts three NNE-directed saline aquifer zones, where saline aquifers generally have a single-layer thickness of 3–8 m and a cumulative thickness of 8–24 m; (3) The saline aquifers of the Qian-5 member have a total technical control capacity of CO2 of 119.25 × 106 t. …”
