Cosmological Evolution of Fast Radio Bursts and the Star Formation Rate by Sujay Champati, Vahé Petrosian

    Published 2025-01-01
“…To correct for the truncation we use the nonparametric, nonbinning Efron–Petrosian and Lynden-Bell methods, which give unbiased distributions of luminosities and redshifts and their cosmological evolution. To quantify the redshift uncertainty, we use a data set that accounts for uncertainties of contribution to the DM of the host galaxy, and DM uncertainties due to fluctuation in the intergalactic medium. …”

Phenotypic Plasticity During Organofluorine Degradation Revealed by Adaptive Evolution by Madeline R. O'Connor, Calvin J. Thoma, Anthony G. Dodge, Lawrence P. Wackett

    Published 2024-12-01
“…After adaption, growth with 50–70 mM α‐fluorophenylacetic acid was significantly faster with more fluoride release than a preadapted culture due to larger cell populations. Genomic sequencing of both pre‐ and postadapted strain pairs revealed decreases in the defluorinase gene content. …”

Evolution of the Agricultural Sector in Pre-Revolutionary Russia: Regional Context by Natalia Rozinskaya

    Published 2024-12-01
“…The article uses extensive statistical material on the main indicators characterizing the evolution of agriculture. Analysis. The author proceeds from the fact that due to the very wide variety of socio-economic, geographical, and climatic conditions in the various territories that were part of Russia, significant scientific results can only be obtained by introducing a regional component into the analysis, that is, by considering the degree of completion of the agrarian revolution separately for the main regions. …”

Evolution of inclusions in calcium-treated H13 die steel by WANG Hao, LI Jing, SHI Cheng-bin, YU Wen-tao

    Published 2018-12-01
“…The laboratory experiments of inclusions in H13 die steel modified by Ca treatment were employed in a vacuum induction furnace and the inclusions were analyzed using a scanning electron microscope equipped with an energy dispersive spectrometer in the present study. The evolution of inclusions in H13 steel was analyzed based on thermodynamic calculation. And the component and structure of inclusions in H13 steel after Ca treatment were investigated. The results show that the particle size is modified to tiny and the roundness increases after calcium treatment, the ratio of the sum of cross sectional area of all the inclusions to the total area of the observed view fields decreases. The inclusions change from Si O2-Al2O3to Ca O-Si O2-Al2O3- (MgO) , and all the inclusions are in the1400℃low melting temperature region of the Ca O-Si O2-Al2O3- (MgO) ternary phase diagram at the calcium mass content of 12×10-6.Ca S is unable to form after Ca treatment due to the high T.O content of current steel. The Al2O3in complex inclusions would be totally eliminated as the mass ratio of Ca/T.O reached 0.3.The (Mn, Cr) S precipitated on oxide inclusions is detected, and the morphology of complex inclusions is depended on the degree of segregation of Mn, Cr and S.…”
