    Published 2025-07-01
“…Results Color alterations (ΔE00) in all groups treated with charcoal-based whitening toothpastes exceeded the clinical acceptability threshold. However, no statistically significant differences in ΔE00 were noted among these groups (p > 0.05).The SNE group exhibited significantly higher ∆b values than the COW and CBW groups (p < 0.05), while the CBW group presented considerably lower ΔL values than the COW, IPW, and SNE groups (p < 0.05). …”

Detection of external defects on potatoes by hyperspectral imaging technology and image processing method by Su Wenhao, Liu Guishan, He Jianguo, Wang Songlei, He Xiaoguang, Wang Wei, Wu Longguo

    Published 2014-03-01
“…Potato external defects were identified through image processing methods, such as threshold segmentation, corrosion, expansion and connectivity analysis. The result showed that the recognition rate of all the seven potato types achieved 82.50% using principal component analysis method of the characteristic wavelengths, however, it was found up to 96.43% using image subtraction algorithm combined with principal component analysis method, indicating that the latter can more accurately identify the defective area.In sum, this image processing method based on hyperspectral image can effectively identify the external defects on potatoes, which can realize the accurate and fast classification of potatoes in the process of actual processing and has a great application prospect in the future.…”
