These unmanned aerial systems with VTP and tethered UAVs, which retransmit signals in relation to a specific area as a part of the objects of modern geo information systems (GIS) covering particular regions, territories and hard-to-reach areas with a radio signal can find its fairly wide application in the near future, besides radio or optical communication of VTP can be used as a network of telecommunication channels for receiving/transmitting information.…”

Beamforming and resource optimization in UAV integrated sensing and communication network with edge computing by Bin LI, Sicong PENG, Zesong FEI

    Published 2023-09-01
“…To address the dependence of traditional integrated sensing and communication network mode on ground infrastructure, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with edge computing server and radar transceiver was proposed to solve the problems of high-power consumption, signal blocking, and coverage blind spots in complex scenarios.Firstly, under the conditions of satisfying the user’s transmission power, radar estimation information rate and task offloading proportion limit, the system energy consumption was minimized by jointly optimizing UAV radar beamforming, computing resource allocation, task offloading, user transmission power, and UAV flight trajectory.Secondly, the non-convex optimization problem was reformulated as a Markov decision process, and the proximal policy optimization method based deep reinforcement learning was used to achieve the optimal solution.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a faster training speed and can reduce the system energy consumption effectively while satisfying the sensing and computing delay requirements.…”

On-board Multi-User Detection Algorithm Based on Conditional Neural Process by Yilun LIU, Liang JIN, Jiali LI, Lidong ZHU

    Published 2021-12-01
“…With the characteristics of all-terrain, all-weather and seamless coverage, satellite communications have become a potentially important part of 6G.An important prerequisite for achieving satellite intelligence is that the satellite have on-board processing capabilities.Multi-user detection (MUD) is a classic method of suppressing multiple access interference (MAI) in wireless communication, such as MMSE, Gaussian processregression (GPR) and other algorithms.Due to the inverse matrix required in the detection process, the algorithm complexity is usually cubic, and it is diff cult to directly apply to satellite platforms because of its limited processing capabilities. The conditional neural process combined the characteristics of the low complexity of the neural network and the data-eff cient of the Gaussian process. The neural network was used to parameterized the Gaussian process to avoided the inversion of the matrix, thereby reduced the computational complexity. The application of conditional neural process in MUD was studied. The simulation results showed that, while reduced complexity, conditional neural process also greatly improved the performance of bit error rate (BER).…”

Schedule-aware power management for energy-efficiency improvement in IEEE 802.11u WLAN by Di ZHANG

    Published 2019-08-01
“…A mobile terminal supporting the IEEE 802.11u standard can automatically access a wireless local area network within the coverage of a network service provided by a wireless local area network.Aiming at the characteristics of IEEE 802.11u WLAN,a time series sensing based PSM (S-PSM) scheme was proposed. The transmission sequence information was broadcasted using a generic advertisement service (GAS) defined in the IEEE 802.11u standard, and all terminals controlled their own operating states according to the sequence information. In order to reduce the collision probability of the contention channel,a response contention window was introduced. When there was no data packet in the access point (AP),the AP broadcasted the GAS frame and activated the idle timer. All terminals went to sleep until the idle timer expires. The simulation results show that compared with the proposed traditional PSM,the scheme can significantly reduce power consumption and improve terminal energy-efficiency.…”

Multi-Users Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation Technology of SDTN by Jianxiang CHU, Yin HUANG, Chong WANG, Yunze CAO

    Published 2022-12-01
“…The TT&C and data transmission of spacecraft are divided into two methods: space-based and ground-based.Among them, space-based method has the advantages of global coverage, access at any time, and real-time information return, and have a wide range of application prospects. But it also puts forward certain requirements for the dynamic bandwidth allocation of its multi-spacecraft.Based on the studied of medium-orbit TT&C, data transmission constellation network architecture and multiple access protocols, a dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm for on-doard multi-beam, multi-spacecraft users, and multi-task priorities for data transmission tasks was proposed. It was very suitable for the on-demand and real-time resource allocation of data transmission requests of multiple spacecraft in the mid-orbit constellation, and could be used as a multiple access protocol model for space-based measurement and control and data transmission access networks.…”
