Effect of Using Micropalm Oil Fuel Ash as Partial Replacement of Cement on the Properties of Cement Mortar
Published 2018-01-01“…Various experimental techniques, such as compression test, isothermal calorimetry, mercury intrusion porosimetry, and X-ray diffraction, are performed to figure out the effect of using mPOFA as partial replacement of cement on the hydration of cement and determine its optimal replacement level to increase mechanical property of the mortar specimens. 10 wt.% of cement replacement with mPOFA is found to give the highest level of compressive strength, achieving a 23% increase over the control specimens after 3 days of curing. …”

Platelet Volume Parameters as Predictors of Valvular Thrombosis Risk in Patients with Aortic and Mitral Valve Replacement
Published 2025-01-01“…This study aimed to investigate the predictive value of platelet volume parameters, including mean platelet volume (MPV), platelet distribution width (PDW), and platelet-large cell ratio (P-LCR), for valvular thrombosis risk in patients undergoing valve replacement therapy. A retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted from May 2002 to May 2020, involving 108 patients with a history of mitral or aortic valve replacement and valvular thrombosis, and 216 controls with a history of valve surgery without valvular malfunction. …”

Efficacy of continuous renal replacement therapy in the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis complicated with abdominal compartment syndrome
Published 2018-01-01“…Objective To investigate the clinical value of continuous renal replacement therapy in the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis complicated with abdominal compartment syndrome. Methods From September 2015 to January2017,60 patients with severe acute pancreatitis, severe intestinal obstruction and severe abdominal trauma were randomly divided into two groups. There was no significant difference in baseline data of sex and age between treatment group and control group(P>0.05).The control group was treated with routine therapy, and the treatment group was treated with continuous renal replacement therapy besides the routine therapy. The vital signs of all patients were observed. The measurements of IAPs,blood biochemical examination and blood gas analysis were done. The oxygenation index and APACHEⅡ score were calculated regularly daily. The effective rate, mortality, adverse events and adverse drug reactions were observed. Results The effective rate of treatment in the control group was 73.33%,which was significantly lower than that in the treatment group(93.33%)(P<0.05).The mortality rate in the control group was 10%,higher than 3.33%in the treatment group, but there was no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of adverse events in control group was 36.67%,significantly higher than that in the treatment group 16.67%;adverse drug reaction rate in the control group was 16.67%,higher than6.67%in the treatment group, with the differences between two groups being statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions Continuous renal replacement therapy for patients with severe acute pancreatitis complicated with abdominal compartment syndrome has a relatively high effective rate, and the incidence of adverse events and adverse drug reactions is relatively low, which has a good clinical application value.…”
