Naslund, John Torous, Soumya Choudhary

    Published 2025-06-01
“…Introduction: Cognitive deficits represent a core symptom of schizophrenia and a principal contributor to illness disability, yet evaluating cognition in routine clinical settings is often not feasible as cognitive assessments take longer than a standard doctor's visit. Using smartphones to assess cognition in schizophrenia offers the advantages of convenience in that patients can complete assessments outside of the clinic, temporality in that longitudinal trends can be identified, and contextuality in that cognitive scores can be interpreted with other measures captured by the phone (e.g. sleep). …”

    Published 2025-02-01
“…In this study, we evaluated the utility of incorporating non-genetic factors in height predictors for the Han Chinese population in Taiwan. We analyzed data from 78,719 Taiwan Biobank (TWB) participants and 40,641 Taiwan Precision Medicine Initiative (TPMI) participants using genome-wide association study and multivariable linear regression least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) methods to incorporate genetic and non-genetic factors for height prediction. …”

“…To examine their in vivo function in an animal model evolutionarily closely related to humans, we identified and characterized Rh05, Rh152/151 and Rh173 as the complete set of vFcγRs encoded by rhesus CMV (RhCMV). Each one of these proteins displays functional similarities to their prospective HCMV orthologs with respect to antagonizing host FcγR activation in vitro. …”
