Weyl-Titchmarsh Theory for Hamiltonian Dynamic Systems
Published 2010-01-01“…We establish the Weyl-Titchmarsh theory for singular linear Hamiltonian dynamic systems on a time scale 𝕋, which allows one to treat both continuous and discrete linear Hamiltonian systems as special cases for 𝕋=ℝ and 𝕋=ℤ within one theory and to explain the discrepancies between these two theories. This paper extends the Weyl-Titchmarsh theory and provides a foundation for studying spectral theory of Hamiltonian dynamic systems. …”

Base station sleep mechanism based on power consumption and energy cost balance
Published 2017-07-01“…Deploying dense network in 5G system increases the number of nodes, which leads to a sharp increase in power consumption of wireless communication system, aggravates the economic burden of mobile network operator and exacerbates the emission of CO2.Therefore,considering the number of candidate base station (BS) group and the relative position of the BS supplied by new energy,a comprehensive power consumption model in wireless communication system was investigated in terms of the power consumption and economical level.A base station sleep algorithm based on power consumption and energy cost balance was proposed to achieve a tradeoff between them, which selected candidate groups according to the corresponding power consumption and then determined the active group by choosing the cheapest ones.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly reduce energy cost of communication bases system although it leads to a negligible increase in power consumption.…”

Resilience and Resistance Among Migrant Male Domestic Workers in South Africa
Published 2023-08-01“…Drawing upon Katz’s framework of disaggregated agency, encompassing resilience, reworking, and resistance strategies, the study demonstrates that in the absence of collective resistance through unionisation, male domestic workers employ resilience and reworking strategies to improve their material well-being. Decision-making processes regarding migration to South Africa, engaging in job-hopping, and engaging in multiple piece jobs are examples of the resilience and reworking strategies used by male domestic workers to improve their living conditions. …”
