Wnt5a Increases Properties of Lung Cancer Stem Cells and Resistance to Cisplatin through Activation of Wnt5a/PKC Signaling Pathway by Jiali Yang, Kangjian Zhang, Jing Wu, Juan Shi, Jing Xue, Jing Li, Juan Chen, Yongzhao Zhu, Jun Wei, Jinxi He, Xiaoming Liu

    Published 2016-01-01
“…The role of noncanonical Wnt signaling in the regulation of properties of lung cancer stem cells and chemoresistance was interrogated, by accessing capacities of cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and clonogenicity as well as the apoptosis in A549 cell lines and cisplatin-resistant A549 cells treated with Wnt5a conditional medium or protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor GF109203X. Results showed that the noncanonical Wnt signaling ligand, Wnt5a, could promote the proliferation, migration, invasion, and colony formation in A549 lung adenocarcinoma cells and cisplatin-resistant A549/DDP cells and increase the fraction of ALDH-positive cell in A549/DDP cells. …”

Enhanced Proliferation of Porcine Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells Induced by Extracellular Calcium is Associated with the Activation of the Calcium-Sensing Receptor and ERK Sign... by Jingjing Ye, Wei Ai, Fenglin Zhang, Xiaotong Zhu, Gang Shu, Lina Wang, Ping Gao, Qianyun Xi, YongLiang Zhang, Qingyan Jiang, Songbo Wang

    Published 2016-01-01
“…Moreover, Ca2+o-induced promotion of pBMSCs proliferation, the changes of proliferative genes expression levels, and the activation of ERK1/2 signaling pathway were effectively blocked by U0126, a selective ERK kinase inhibitor. In conclusion, our findings provided evidence that the enhanced pBMSCs proliferation in response to Ca2+o was associated with the activation of CaSR and ERK1/2 signaling pathway, which may be useful for the application of pBMSCs in future clinical studies aimed at tissue regeneration and repair.…”

    Published 2025-01-01
“…To solve these problems, In this paper, we propose a density peak clustering color-separation algorithm based on self-organizing mapping (SOM) neural network, which firstly uses enhanced super-resolution generative adversarial network (Real-ESRGAN) blind super-resolution reconstruction network to clarify the degraded image and obtain a high-resolution image with clear boundaries; secondly, we carry out the initial clustering through the SOM neural network to simplify the image information; and then we use an improved density peak clustering (DPC) algorithm to calculate clustering centers under the conditions of conforming to the perception of human eyes, and carry out secondary clustering on the image; finally, carry out image post-processing through the variegated spots merging algorithm based on the connected component analysis. …”
