Obstetric outcomes in breastfeeding women in the first hour of delivery before and during the COVID-19 pandemic
Published 2025-01-01“…Regarding the comparison between infected/suspected and non-infected women, we observed: higher proportions of women who had a vaginal delivery and breastfed after delivery in non-infected women and higher proportions of non-infected women, with no indication for cesarean section at the time of admission and who breastfed within the first hour after delivery - when compared to infected/suspected women. Finally, regarding the multivariate analysis of the pre-pandemic period, we observed that women who had fewer than 7 prenatal consultations reduced, on average, 0.36 times the chance of breastfeeding after delivery (p = 0.007). …”

Thermal properties and non-bonded interactions in human PMP2 variants: A molecular dynamics study
Published 2025-01-01“…Also, the estimated value of thermal diffusivity indicated that the mutant was slightly more efficient at conducting heat than the wild-type protein; the thermal diffusivity of both proteins was much lower than that of water. Finally, a non-linear (concave nature) change in Cv with temperature was observed in both protein systems. …”

Petrophysical Regression regarding Porosity, Permeability, and Water Saturation Driven by Logging-Based Ensemble and Transfer Learnings: A Case Study of Sandy-Mud Reservoirs
Published 2022-01-01“…Consequently, CRBM-Bayes-LightGBM combined with transfer learning is solidly demonstrated by a stronger capability and an expected robustness on the prediction of porosity, permeability, and water saturation, which then clarify that the proposed predictor can be viewed as a preferential selection when geologists, geophysicists, or petrophysicists need to finalize a characterization of sandy-mud reservoirs.…”

Effect of different clay additions to concrete on its ultrasonic acoustic parameters and compressive strength
Published 2025-01-01“…Subsequently, the acoustic parameters and compressive strength were tested for concrete specimens with different mud contents cast on site. Finally, the effects of concrete mud content on wave velocity, sound time, amplitude, frequency and strength were analyzed according to the measured acoustic parameters, and the relational equations of mud content on acoustic parameters were verified, which provided a reference for evaluating the defective degree of concrete mud content. …”

Sex and outcomes of patients with microsatellite instability-high and BRAF V600E mutated metastatic colorectal cancer receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors
Published 2025-02-01“…We then investigated these associations also in two independent cohorts of patients with early-stage or advanced MSI-H CRC unexposed to ICIs. Finally, we explored two public microarray and RNA-seq datasets from patients with non-metastatic or metastatic MSI-H CRC to gain translational insights on the association between sex, BRAF status and immune contextures/ICI efficacy. Results Although no differences were observed between females and males either overall or in the BRAF wild-type cohort, male sex was associated with inferior progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in the BRAF mutated cohort (in multivariable models, HR for PFS: 1.79, 95% CI: 1.13 to 2.83, p=0.014, and for OS: 2.33, 95% CI: 1.36 to 3.98, p=0.002). …”
